Senator Rand Paul Attends Tea Party Tax Day Rally In Bowling Green

Some tea party members held a local rally Sunday to discuss taxes with a Senator.

More than 70 people gathered at Fountain square park in Bowling Green to hear Senator Rand Paul talk about tax issues, as Tax Day approaches.

The group are in favor of lowering taxes and feel they are taxed enough already.

"A lot of things we're concerned about is that most individual tax payers pay more in taxes than they do for food, clothing, shelter and all of their expenditures. The number one expenditure in the family budget is taxes and we don't want taxes to go up, we want government spending to shrink, we want the size of the government in Washington to be smaller so more things can be handled at the local level," says Senator Rand Paul, (R), Kentucky.

A rally has been held every year for the last three years.
