The president spoke to the nation on Monday night and said Americans voted for a divided government, but they didn't vote for a dysfunctional government.
The next day we asked you what you thought, an overwhelming 96% of you feel it is dysfunctional.
Today, Kentucky's Junior Senator, Rand Paul, gave his thoughts.
"It sounds like we have a bi-partisan agreement and I would also agree the government is dysfunctional. Since I came here in six months we have not accomplished too much," said Senator Paul.
Senator Paul went on to say he thinks Americans are upset with Congress for not doing what they want and he says 75 percent want a balanced budget amendment to the constitution.
