If you're checking your e-mail or surfing the web at work you might want to be careful of what your looking at.

A new survey finds that more than a quarter of employees have been fired by their bosses for misusing email.

And if you thought surfing the web for personal use was ok, think again.

Out of 304 U.S. companies surveyed, 34-percent of employers fired their workers for using the internet for personal use.

Do you think this is fair? Let me know.

The massacre at Virginia Tech last year sent colleges scrambling to improve how they could alert students during emergencies on campus

One solution: sending text messages to cell phones.

Hundreds of campuses have adopted text alerts, but it turns out students still aren't signing up for them.

There are several factors behind this.

Some students feel invincible to campus shootings, while others don't want to give out their personal information.

Some colleges are now asking students to put their numbers on college application forms.

Should all students have to give their cell phone numbers to their university?
