Cancer touches almost everyone.

But now one video game is helping young adults deal with this powerful disease.

According to a report in the journal of Pediatrics, playing a specially designed video game can help young adult cancer patients stick more closely to their treatments.

In the video game Re-Mission, players control a robot called Roxxi who moves around a 3D environment representing the inside of the body of a young cancer patient.

Players can use Roxxi to blast cancer cells and control side effects.

Winning the game requires taking chemotherapy drugs and antibiotics, eating food and keeping up with other types of self-care.

The game can be downloaded free from the Web site by patients and medical professionals.
