City of Bowling Green's Computers Get Hacked

The E-government Coordinator, Brad Stinson, says someone hacked into the system, just after seven o'clock Monday morning. He says the city successfully blocked the hacker in under an hour.

Stinson says the hacker sent out some phony messages, but no official data was compromised.

And he says they are already making access to the city's computer system more complex.

Says Stinson, "Choose complex passwords. We're actually working to enhance the complexity that's required for city employees to have for their passwords. That would be the number one thing, and also to change them regularly."
