More Web Users Getting Hit By Scam Artists

An alarming new report shows more and more Internet users are falling prey to Internet scam artists.

One wrong key stroke is all is takes to be scammed and with so many of us on the web, some extra caution should be taken to help counter the problem.

The problem is now worse than ever, with criminals behind some of the most dangerous types of computer fraud being organized and selling their scams to other crooks.

It's becoming too easy for anyone to download malicious software, that can in return, take your most personal information, like passwords and social security numbers.

Security experts at Symantec have seen a surge in security threats. In just the first six-months of this year a jump of about 185 percent.

"Go to reputable sites, and be careful about securing your information online and securing your computer," said Steve Trilling, with Symantec Security.
