| Joseph Elmer Payne, 50, of Bowling Green died at 6:35 p.m. Oct. 24, 2004, at his home. The Bowling Green native was a machinist for American Machine & Welding Co., for 16 years, drove an 18-wheeler truck and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a son of the late Bernard Elmer Payne and Anne Lothridge Payne of Bowling Green, who survives. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eric Payne. Funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at J. C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue Chapel. Other survivors include four brothers, Roger Payne and his wife, Vickie, Paul Edward Payne and his wife, Nicky, and B. Lewis Payne and his wife, April, all of Bowling Green, and Bryan C. Payne and his wife, Janice, of Lewisburg; a sister, Polly A. Payne of Bowling Green; a nephew; and six nieces. | |
