MORGANTOWN — Marrietta Georgia Martin, 88, of Pontiac, Ill., died at 1:15 p.m. Feb. 11, 2005, at a Pontiac nursing home. The Morgantown native was a homemaker and a Methodist. She was a daughter of the late Ira Romans and Belle Coots Romans and the wife of the late Virgil L. Martin. She was preceded in death by four sisters, two brothers, five sons and two grandchildren. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Jones Funeral Chapel, with burial in Hill Haven Memory Garden. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include three daughters, Velma Owens and her husband, Dwayne, of Chenoa, Ill., Pam Martin of Lexington, Ill., and Lorene Johnson and her husband, John, of Hobort, Ind.; four sons, Gerald C. Martin and his wife, Wanda, of Morgantown, Wendell Martin and his wife, Irene, of Plainfield, Ill., Virgil Martin and his wife, Anita, of Griffith, Ind., and Barry Martin and his wife, Barb, of Chenoa; and a brother, JV Romans and his wife, Kim, of Fairfield, Calif.
