TOMPKINSVILLE — Jo Nell Jones Payne, 74, of Mount Hermon died at 9:58 a.m. March 14, 2005, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. The Monroe County native was a homemaker and member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Taffey Ree Jones and Ova Jane Smith Jones and the wife of the late Homer Dee Payne. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Strode Funeral Home, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and will begin at 6 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Survivors include a daughter, Martha Jean Crowe and her husband, Donald, of Mount Hermon; a son, Lawrence Payne and his wife, Barbara, of Glasgow; eight grandchildren, Margie H. Capps, Amanda P. Norris, Heather Payne, Jason Payne, Susan R. Wood, Chris Wiley, Jason Crowe and Josh Payne; and 11 great-grandchildren, Ethan Payne, Lora E. Hunter, Dillon Cook, Zack Cook, Chase Rich, Aisha M. Payne, Dawson Crow, Madison Crowe, Megan Wood, Daniel Capps and Caleb Capps.
