Michael Alan Kennedy, 42, died August, 24, 2005. The Simpson county native was a son of Harold & Phyllis (Lightfoot) Kennedy of Franklin KY. Mr. Kennedy was a baptist, and an English Professor at Western KY University, and later University of Kentucky. He was preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents; Robert E. & Eva Lightfoot. Paternal Grandparents; Robert L. & Artie Kennedy, and a brother; David Alan Kennedy. There will be no visitation, the body was cremated. Funeral service will be held at a later date, with interment in a private service at a later date. J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, is in charge of arrangements. One brother; Dennis Kennedy of Franklin, and his fiancee Marcia Henderson of Lexington, KY. One son; Ernie Soliday of Lexington, and a daughter; Sarah Partin of Columbus Ohio. There are four Grandchildren & six nieces & nephews.
