| Ruby A (Alice) Moran, age 56, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, formerly of Antioch, Illinois, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2003, at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. She was born August 8, 1946, in Granite City, Illinois, the daughter of the late Hubert Gillen and Zelma Lorraine (Wheeler) Bechtol. She met, fell deeply in love, and married Chuck Moran, on March 6, 1965, in Waukegan, Illinois, being happily married for almost 38 years. Throughout her life, she has made many happy memories. In high school she preformed in many concerts and contest in the swing choir, bringing home several awards. She was a member of the Millburn Rainbow Girls and the Milburn Order of the Eastern Star, both in Milburn, Illinois. She was also active in the AAMA for several years. After marrying, Alice and Chuck lived life to the fullest. With homes in Lake Zurich, Fox Lake, Waukegan, and Antioch, all in Illinois, as well as Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, they shared many happy times, but the best were the birth of their daughter, Julie, in 1967, their son, Mark, in 1972, and their granddaughter, Samantha, in 1992. While in Antioch, Alice was the office manager and bookkeeper for Orchard Medical Center for 20 years, retiring and moving to Bowling Green in 1992. Since in Bowling Green, she has worked for PremierNet, Medquest, and Barnes & Noble, making many good friends no matter where she was or what she did. Survivors include her husband, Chuck Moran of Bowling Green of Bowling Green; one daughter, Julie (Bob) Dvorak of Antioch, Illinois; one son, Mark A. Moran of Bowling Green; one granddaughter, Samantha Dvorak of Antioch, Illinois; two sisters, Sheri (Alex) Montemayor of Bowling Green and Toni (Rodger) Edmonds of Zion, Illinois; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles all of which will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Judith Ulatowski. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm on Thursday, January 16, 2003 at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, 901Fairview Avenue Bowling Green, KY 42101. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm the same evening. Friends desiring may make contributions to a family memorial in her memory. | |
