ELKTON — Dolvin Kennedy “Nanny” Lancaster, 82, of Elkton died at 4 p.m. May 12, 2008, at Alive Hospice of St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
The Farmerville, La., native was born June 17, 1925. She was retired from Todd County High School as a lunch room worker and from the Elkton Sewing Factory. She had also worked as a babysitter and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Stanley Dean and Sallie Taylor Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Edward Lancaster Sr., in 2008.
Funeral is at 1 p.m. Thursday at Latham Funeral Home, with burial in Todd County Meadow Haven. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and begins at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Clarence Lancaster Jr. of Trenton; two daughters, Sally Lancaster of Bowling Green and Carolyn Preacher of Clarksville, Tenn.; two brothers, Fred Kennedy of Farmerville, La., and S.D. Kennedy of Marion, La.; three sisters, Gloria Dawn Schick of Farmerville, Bettie Lee of Shreveport, La., and Belleddia Taunton of Ruston, La.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
