| BROWNSVILLE — Evelyn Saling, 68, of Mammoth Cave died at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 10, 2003, at a Brownsville nursing home. The Edmonson County native was a maintenance worker and member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Lewis Kerr and May Wood Kerr. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betsy Saling. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview United Baptist Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville chapel. Survivors include her husband, Bobby R. Saling; a daughter, Connie Perry and her husband, Fred, of Brooks; a son, Robert Saling and his wife, Lynette, of Mammoth Cave; four sisters, Joy Skaggs, Virgie Childress and Lois Duvall, all of Louisville, and Nellie Freejay of Texas; three brothers, Eddie Elliott of Millerstown, Lewis Kerr Jr. of Louisville and Bobby Kerr of Rhoda; three grandchildren, April Pack, Aaron Perry and Lindsey Saling, and three great-grandchildren, Jacob Woodruff, Jared Woodruff and Avery Pack. | |
