| BROWNSVILLE — Rebecca Mae Houchins Campbell, 88, of Louisville died Oct. 31, 2009, at a Louisville nursing home. The Edmonson County native was a retired assembly worker for General Electric and a member of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a former president of the Retail Clerks Union. She was a daughter of the late Jesse Thomas “JT” Houchins and Bertha Wells Houchins. She was preceded in death by a son, Kerry Lee Campbell; and a daughter, Sandra Ann Warren. Funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel, with burial in Kinser Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Pine Grove Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two sons, Robert Thomas Campbell and his wife, Ginny, of Hull, Ga., and Royce Campbell and his wife, Cathy, of Georgetown, Ind.; two daughters, Rhea Elaine Jeffer of Flowery Branch, Ga., and Donna Tolle of Brooks; a sister, Lucille Bledsoe of Chalybeate; a sister-in-law, Imogene Houchins of Chalybeate; nine grandchildren; two stepgrandchilden; and 10 great-grandchildren. | |
