MORGANTOWN — Elois White Hunt, 73, of Rochester went to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 30, 2009. The Butler County native was a daughter of the late Rev. Hubert and Almona Kirby White. She retired after 26 years of service to the Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital, where she spent 24 years as a nursing assistant in the newborn nursery. She was a member of Huntsville Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling and being with her family. Funeral is at 2 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Chapel, with burial in Webster Cemetery. Visitation is from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband, Hugh Hunt; two daughters, Kathy Prater and her husband, David, of Owensboro and Karla Jones and her husband, Bill, of Philpot; two sons, Keith Brown and his wife, Darla, of Bee Spring and Matthew Karl Brown of Dallas; two stepsons; a brother, William Jessie White Sr. and his wife, Viola, of Yazoo City, Miss.; three granddaughters, Heather Paige Prater of Owensboro, Bonnie Young and her husband, Timmy, and Jennifer Massey and her husband, Larry, all of Brownsville; four grandsons, Wesley Prater and his wife, Nicole, of Hartford, Matthew Prater of Owensboro, William Nicholas Jones and his wife, Rebecca, of Louisville and Ryan Jones of Philpot; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
