| GLASGOW — Earl E. Wood, 93, of Cave City died Oct. 29, 2009, at his residence. The Barren County native was born Aug. 31, 1916. He was a farmer and retired employee of the Glasgow Daily Times. He was a U.S. Army veteran, member of the D.A.V. Chapter 20 in Glasgow and a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Tom Wood and Fannie Martin Wood. Funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Pleasant Union Cemetery with military honors provided the D.A.V. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Y. White Wood; a daughter, Earline Mitchell and her husband, Robert, of Indiana; four stepsons, Peter R. Dodson III of Cave City, Gregory R. Dodson of North Carolina, Wilburn D. Fitzpatrick Jr. and his wife, Leslie, of Virginia and Larry D. Dodson and his wife, Shontelle, of Illinois; a sister, Lula Crewshaw of Glasgow; a brother-in-law, Horace L. White of Glasgow; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. | |
