| Edith Marie Gardner, 84, of the Center Point community died at 2:19 p.m. Nov. 2, 2009, at a Bowling Green nursing home. She was a homemaker and a member of Cave Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She was saved in July 1936. She was a daughter of the late George W. Hornback and Maggie Mae Taylor Hornback and the wife of the late Ova Gardner. Funeral is at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sego Funeral Home, with burial in Center Point Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and begins at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Center Point Baptist Church or Center Point Cemetery Fund at Sego Funeral Home. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Sue French of Vine Grove and Darlia Kaye Kessinger and her husband, Dan, of Munfordville; five sons, LeRoy and Rudy Gardner, Philip Gardner and his wife, Brenda, and Jerry Willis Gardner and his wife, Sandra, all of Munfordville, and Ova Lyle Gardner and his wife, Vicki, of Mammoth Cave; a brother, George Hornback of Irvington; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. | |
