| Will “Bill” Hackney Flora, 83, of Bowling Green died at 6:45 p.m. Nov. 4, 2009, at a Bowling Green nursing home. The Edmonson County native was born July 10, 1926. He was a retired farmer and a member of The Church of Christ. He loved farming, the outdoors, fishing and wrestling. He was a son of the late Rodney Flora and Mary Evelyn Cowles Flora and the wife of the late Mamie Eadens Lamastus Flora. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah E. Scoggins and Mary Jackson; and two brothers, Kenneth and Benton Flora. Graveside service is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation begins at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.jckirbyandson.com. Survivors include three stepchildren, Sue Tabor and her husband, Kenneth, and L.D. Lamastus and Frank Lamastus, all of Bowling Green; several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren; special friends and caregivers, Dorothy Appleby and her son, Darrell Appleby, of Bowling Green; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. | |
