Ellen Olene Bow Emberton, 88, of Glasgow died Nov. 5, 2009, at a Glasgow nursing home. She was a homemaker and a daughter of the late Elbert and Vercie Bow and the wife of the late Marvin Emberton. She was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Strode Jr.; and two stepsons, Frank and Marshall Emberton. Funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Bowman-Poplar Log Cemetery in Tompkinsville. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Survivors include four children, Donald Ray Emberton and Sheila Emberton Eatmon, both of Glasgow, Janice Emberton Schrader of South Carolina and Johnny Marvin Emberton of Munfordville; three stepdaughters, Wanda Hamner, Nancy Kneip and Judy Marlow, all of Indiana; a sister, Nell Wood of Brandenburg; 27 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
