Christopher Earl “Petie” Ballard, 42, of Horse Cave, died Nov. 18, 2009, at his home. The Hart County native was a farmer. He was a son of Willie and Bonnie Ballard, of Horse Cave, who survive. Funeral is at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Winn Funeral Home, with burial in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Other survivors include three children, Jonathon Ballard and Kelsey Miller, both of Glasgow, and Kelly Alexander Short, of Horse Cave; a special aunt, Mary Laird, of Cave City; and several other aunts and uncles.
