| Claudia Nelle Johnson, 87, of Bowling Green, formerly of the Lamb community in Barren County, died Nov. 19, 2009, at her home. The Barren County native was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Baptist Church at Lamb. She was a daughter of the late Theodore Atkinson and Ruby Brant Atkinson and the wife of the late Wendell Johnson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Atkinson; and two sisters, Lucy Hudson and Sarah Garrett. Funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Antioch Baptist Church, c/o Tim Wheeler, 2811 Tracy Road, Fountain Run, KY 42133. Survivors include a daughter, Becky Strode and her husband, Wayne, of Bowling Green; a son, Leroy Johnson and his wife, Brenda, of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Wendy Strode, of Bowling Green, Brad Johnson and his wife, Jodi, of Bee Spring, Leigh Anne Walling and her husband, Jerry, of Springhill, Tenn., and Erica Lynn Devore and her husband, Jonathan, of Leitchfield; 11 grandchildren, Peyton, Ty, Camdyn, Brody and Brayden Johnson, MeKinsey, Johnie Lane and Embry Ford and Karsyn, Kassidy and Korben Walling; a brother, William David Atkinson, of Bowling Green; and several nieces and nephews. | |
