Eugene Atkinson Jr., 88, of Dot, died Feb. 5, 2010, at his home. The Logan County native was born July 11, 1921. He was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church and a retired farmer. He was a son of the late Eugene Atkinson and Elizabeth Woolridge Atkinson. Funeral was today at Sanders Funeral Home, with burial in Russellville Memorial Gardens. Survivors include a two sons, Larry Atkinson and his wife, Nora, of Bowling Green, and Danny Atkinson and his wife, Sherry, of Nashville; three daughters, Terry Smith and Penny Edwards and her husband, Jeff, all of Dot, and Tammy Vineyard of Gallatin, Tenn.; three grandsons, Chuck, Larry Jr. and Jeremy Atkinson, all of Bowling Green; seven granddaughters, Stephanie Howell, Danielle Hankins and Stacey Wardlaw, all of Nashville, Satina Wood and Kristin Edwards, both of Dot, Ashlee Fischer, of Gallatin, and Tabitha Hunt, of Lewisburg; and 12 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Bradley, Rachel, Charlie, Chesney, Evan and Easton, all of Bowling Green, Emily and Jackson Howell and Briley Wardlaw, all of Nashville, and Colton and Layla Hunt, both of Lewisburg.
