| William Leroy Taylor, 84, of Scottsville, died at 8:23 a.m. Feb. 7, 2010, at VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The Glasgow native was a farmer, a former employee of SKF in Glasgow, a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Walton’s Chapel Church of Christ. He was a son of the late Unie Carl Taylor and Clara Lee Deweese Taylor and the husband of the late Margaret Louise Franklin Taylor. He was preceded in death by a brother, Perry Taylor; a sister, Dorothy Jean Davis; and two great-grandsons, Logan and Ryan Taylor. Funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Goad Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery and military honors by Barren County DAV Chapter 20. Visitation begins after noon Tuesday at the funeral home. Survivors include four sons, David Leroy Taylor and his wife, Judy Ann, of Glasgow, Monte Taylor and his wife, Teresa, and Tony Taylor and his wife, Denise, all of Scottsville, and Ronnie Taylor and his wife, Anna, of Bowling Green; a sister, Wanda Proffitt, of Cave City; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. | |
