Carolyn Turner, 69, of Bowling Green, died at 4:40 p.m. EDT May 11, 2010, at University of Louisville Hospital. The Owensboro native was born June 17, 1940. She was a retired registered nurse and a member of Bowling Green Seventh-day Adventist Church. She loved to spend time with her family and read and enjoyed NASCAR and going to Florida in the winter with her husband, Dan, and her dog, Priscilla. She was a daughter of the late Charles Holder and Margaret Magliner Holder. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lena Gee. Funeral is at 10 a.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane chapel, with burial in Rosehill-Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Bowling Green Seventh-day Adventist Church, Flower Fund for Sabbath Services, 1740 Cave Mill Road, Bowling Green, KY 42104. Survivors include her husband, Dan Turner; a sister, Ella Kidder and her husband, David, of Asheville, N.C.; two brothers, Jan Holder and his wife, Patsy, of Island, and Charles Phillip Holder, of Laurelville, Ohio; four nephews, Kevin Kimbley and his wife, Anna, of White House, Tenn., Tony Kimbley and his wife, Shan, of Asheville, Ryan Kimbley, of Apopka, Fla., and Chad Turner and his wife, Samia, of Cross Lanes, W.Va.; a niece, Ashley Wilson and her husband, Josh, of Charlotte, N.C.; and several great nieces and nephews.
