| The Rev. Carroll C. Hart Jr., 63, of Lake Jackson, Texas, died Aug. 20, 2004, at his home. The Warren County native earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Western Kentucky University and a master of divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He was working on a doctorate in theology from the University of the South. He was a son of the late C. C. Hart and Dorothy Hart of Bowling Green, who survives. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Carroll C. Hart Jr. Scholarship Fund, c/o Crowley’s Ridge College, 100 College Drive, Paragould, AR 72450 or the Bowling Green Public Library. Other survivors include his wife, Rebecca Jane Griffin Hart; a son, Patrick Bruce Hart and his wife, Betty, of Holly Springs, NC; a daughter, Rebecca Carroll Moreno and her husband, Eleazar of Waelder, Texas; and three grandchildren, Rebecca Eleza Moreno, Alison Claire Hart and Leah Katherine Hart. | |
