The former Alaska Governor and Republican Vice-Presidential candidate, formally endorsed the Bowling Green eye doctor this past Monday.

Paul says he sees Palin as a conservative force to help define his race against Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson.

"A conservative who's a citizen running for office," Paul calls himself, "not a career politician, versus sort of the establishment pick who's sort of the moderate pick. So we have conservative versus moderate and she's weighed in and said, 'We oughta try and elect a conservative in the primary.'"

Paul says people like Palin and trust her because they see her as natural and genuine.

And he calls her "the biggest endorsement a republican can get."
