KY Lawmakers Dealing with Hot-Button Issues
Lawmakers are continuing to wrestle with a long list of bills dealing with hot-button issues like abortion, evolution, Bible classes in public schools, even creation of an "In God We Trust" license plate.

Some haven't gotten off the starting line. Others have gotten halfway through the legislative process. None have passed.
Republican state Rep. Tim Moore of Elizabethtown, is urging legislative leaders to allow the full House and Senate to vote on the measures.
Brian Wilkerson, spokesman for House Speaker Greg Stumbo, said lawmakers have been busy crafting the state budget, which has forced some other issues onto the back burner.

The legislation is House Bills 100, 373, and 397, and Senate Bill 142.
