Western Kentucky University has set a record for spring enrollment, according to an estimate by Registrar Freida Eggleton.

Preliminary enrollment for the spring semester is 17,550, up 240 from the final enrollment of 17,310 for spring 2006. That is a record for spring enrollment, Eggleton said.

Final enrollment figures will be supplied to the Council on Postsecondary Education in late March.
