Four finalists are in the running for Kentucky's top education job.

The candidates for education commissioner will be interviewed by the board next month.

The finalists are:

• State Representative Jon Draud of Edgewood


• Owensboro Independent Schools Superintendent Larry Vick


• retired Hardin County Schools Superintendent Richard Hughes


• Jim Warford, the former chancellor of the Florida Department of Education.

A fifth finalist has decided not to continue in the process.
