Lindsey Wilson College's 2007 winter graduates and newly inaugurated Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear have one thing in common--they are both "Heroes of the Second Chance."

That's what Kentucky Hall of Fame journalist Al Smith said in his address to the college's 86th commencement class, delivered Dec. 15 to a crowd of more than 1,500 guests in Biggers Sports Center.

Lindsey Wilson awarded a total of 247 degrees at the morning ceremony on Dec. 15.

It is the second largest commencement class at the college.
