Two area superintendents are honored by the Barren River District Health Department.

Doctor Fred Carter, from Glasgow Independent Schools and Joe Tinius, from Bowling Green City Schools, were recognized by the health department for protecting the health of their students and staff.

Both of the districts partnered with the department to promote healthy lifestyles.

The superintendents say they didn't do it alone - it was a team effort.
