“My name is Melissa Foster, a second grade teacher at Highland Elementary. I would like to nominate Honoka for your Student of the Week section. This is her first full year at an American school and is already reading on grade level and tests above grade level in math.

She is a very bright young girl with very high potential. Not only is she a great student but I would consider her a child prodigy when it comes to musical talent. She is an unbelievable piano player. She plays better than MOST adults. This talent alone would make her a good selection for your Student of the Week.”
