It's no secret citizens in the Asian country always know Mother China is looking over their shoulder.
For instance the Chinese cannot learn about what happened in Tianamen Square by doing a Google search. The results are voluntarily censored by the company.
But in light of recent cyber attacks targeting the g-mail accounts of Chinese human rights activists, Google is saying "No more censorship or there may be no more Google in China."
It remains to be seen if the Chinese government will bend or if Google will carry through on its threat.
But the Chinese government did acknowledge the issue publicly today, saying the internet in China is open, and attacking it is illegal.
