WKU's Kandie Named Sun Belt Runner of the Week
WKU runner won Belmont Opener, led Lady Toppers to runner-up finish in meet.

Bowling Green, Ky. - Western Kentucky University senior Marion Kandie was voted Sun Belt Conference Runner of the Week Tuesday for her efforts at the Belmont Opener over the weekend.
Kandie's 4,000-meter clocking of 14:13.87 at Percy Warner Park sealed the individual victory, and helped the Lady Topper cross country team to a runner-up finish. An all-Southeast Region performer last season, Kandie headlines a women's distance corps that currently ranks 13th in the disctrict.
Kandie and company will return to action on September 18th, when they play host to the Old Timers Classic at Kereiakes Park.
