Warren Central rushed for 283 yards, built a 27-0 halftime lead and coasted to a 41-19 home win Friday night over Barren County.

The Dragons (2-4, 1-1 Class 5A District 2) were led by Tevon Boards' 161 yards and two touchdowns rushing on only nine carries, while Tabarus Mitchell tossed in 121 yards and a score on 13 attempts.

Warren Central didn't allow the Trojans (3-4, 1-1) to score until late in the third quarter, when Blake Crabtree's 75-yard touchdown pass to Zack Austin put Barren County's first tallies on the scoreboard.

Warren Central hosts Greenwood next week, while the Trojans welcome Adair County.
