Getting back into district play did nothing to slow Bowling Green's increasingly powerful offense Friday night.
The Purples (6-1, 2-0 Class 5A District 2) scored at least 60 points for the third straight week, opening a 42-7 halftime lead before putting Grayson County away 63-13.
Senior quarterback Trent Steelman was the star for Bowling Green, completing 9-of-12 passes for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Tight end Ryan Wallace caught five balls for 68 yards and two scores, while wide receiver D.L. Moore made two grabs for 85 yards and another score.
Moore's second catch of the night gave him Bowling Green's single-season receptions record. He now has 30 catches for 702 yards and nine touchdowns this season.
Next week, the Purples are off before wrapping up district play at Barren County October 19th. The Cougars (3-2, 0-2) host Clinton County.
