A high school basketball star in Kentucky has plead not guilty to drug trafficking charges.
18-year-old Jonathan "Bud" Mackey appeared before a judge in Scott County Tuesday to face charges stemming from an arrest in September.
Considered a prime candidate for the state's Mr. Basketball award, he stood by as his attorney entered the plea.
Mackey was arrested on Scott County High School property last month.
The police report states Mackey had 1.6 grams of cocaine in his shoe at the time.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for November 6.
