Suspense is hard to come by in Bowling Green's 2007 season, but the Purples found some for a quarter and a half against Barren County.
The Trojans used a 29-yard touchdown run from Coty Lynn to pull within eight points with just under six minutes to go in the first half.
But the Purples answered with two late second quarter touchdowns -capped off by a Ryan Wallace score with 15 seconds left in the half - to lead 28-6 at the intermission.
That lead was extended on the first play of the third quarter when Jared Carpenter ran for a 76-yard touchdown.
Carpenter and Tevin Barksdale combined for four touchdowns to help Bowling Green score at least 56 points for the fifth straight contest.
Bowling Green (7-1, 3-0 Class 5A District 2) hosts Warren East next week while Barren County (4-5, 1-2) will travel to Logan County.
