Kragthorpe Meets with Reporters to Review 2007, Discuss Staff Changes for 2008

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville football head coach Steve Kragthorpe met with reporters on Sunday afternoon at the Howard Schnellenberger Football Complex to recap the 2007 season and discuss changes to the Cards' coaching staff for 2008.

Kragthorpe announced that defensive coordinator Mike Cassity will not return for 2008 while offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach Charlie Stubbs has resigned to pursue other coaching opportunities. Kragthorpe also announced that Jeff Brohm, the Cards' assistant head coach/quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator in 2007, has been promoted to offensive coordinator for 2008.

During Kragthorpe's first season as head coach at U of L in 2007, the Cards finished with a 6-6 record overall and 3-4 in BIG EAST play following an exciting come-from-behind 41-38 win over bowl-bound Rutgers last Thursday at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion.
