NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee Titans All Pro defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth said thank you to the fans Thursday night.
He invited them to meet him at a restaurant, so fans stood outside in the frigid cold waiting for the chance to shake his hand and have a photograph taken with him.
This season he had a career-high six sacks with 23 quarterback pressures, six tackles for loss and 69 tackles.
He helped the Titans to a 6-2 start, and his absence with a strained right hamstring was obvious during a three-game losing skid.
Haynesworth, a former Tennessee Vol, also is repairing his image. In 2006, he was suspended by the NFL for five games for raking his cleated foot across the unprotected face of Dallas center Andre Gurode in a fit of anger.
