Bowling Green, Ky. — The Western Kentucky University volleyball team will host their final spring tournament on Saturday in the auxiliary gyms of E.A. Diddle Arena. The eight-team event is open to the public with free admission.
The Lady Toppers will take the court for matches during the day. All matches will consist of two games, played to 25 points. WKU’s matches will be played at 9 a.m. (CDT), 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Other teams participating in the event include Tennessee Tech, Belmont, Trevecca, Austin Peay, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb and Georgetown College.
WKU is coming off a 27-9 campaign in the fall, becoming the first Sun Belt Conference team ever to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. In all, 10 letterwinners and five starters from last year’s squad return to the team in 2008.
