Bowling Green, Ky. — The Western Kentucky University men’s and women’s swimming and diving program reaped more rewards after each of their strong seasons by tallying seven swimmers on the CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major All-America Honorable Mention Teams that was released on Monday.

The women’s squad consisted of five members including Claire Alexandre, Jessica Aspinall, Claire Donahue, Brittany Doss, and Chelsea Stephens. The men’s squad included Francis Gilmore and Sean Penhale.

Each one of the members earned NCAA “B” time standards during the 2007-08 season.

“This is truly an elite group,” said CollegeSwimming.com director Greg Earhart. “These athletes and their coaches have shown that you can succeed outside of the big money conferences.”
