Warren Central didn't muster much offense Friday night against North Hardin - the Dragons only gained 185 yards and nearly 150 of those came on three plays.
But it didn't matter.
The Dragons got two Tabarus Mitchell touchdown runs, a Brad Rice fumble return touchdown and a punt return score from Cortez Baker to beat the Trojans 34-19.
Mitchell finished with 86 yards and those two scores on just 11 carries. Quarterback Troy Halcomb was 4-of-10 passing for 82 yards and a touchdown, plus the Dragons (1-1) scored the two non-offensive touchdowns.
North (1-1) was led by quarterback LaRod King, who ended the night 21-of-37 passing for 191 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 119 yards and another score on 16 carries.
Warren Central now turns its attention to a visit to John Hardin next week, while the Trojans host Bowling Green.
