Neither the men's nor the women's basketball team at Western Kentucky University are expected to have difficulty signing their commitments when the early signing period begins Wednesday.
WKU's men have three commitments - Orlando (Fla.) forward William Green, Vestavia Hills (Ala.) guard Jordan Swing and Argyle (Tex.) guard Caden Dickerson. According to their coaches, Green will sign Wednesday and Dickerson will sign Thursday. Swing couldn't be reached for comment Tuesday night - his team opened its season on the road Tuesday evening.
The Lady Toppers have commitments from Lexington (Ky.) guard Courtney Clifton and Baxter (Tenn.) guard Lashay Davis. Both are scheduled to put pen to paper in ceremonies at their high schools Wednesday.
WKU men's coach Ken McDonald and women's coach Mary Taylor Cowles can't comment on the status of incoming recruits until they've signed a letter-of-intent.
Recruits have a week to sign national letters-of-intent and would have to wait until spring 2009 to do so if they don't complete the paperwork before the end of the period.
