Steelers beat Bengals, again...Tech upsets Miami...Bruins upset by Wolverines

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- The Pittsburgh Steelers upped their record to 8-and-3 last night with a 27-10 win over Cincinnati. The victory gives the Steelers a sweep of the two-game season series between the AFC North clubs. Steelers q-b Ben Roethlisberger (RAWTH'-lihs-bur-gur) threw for one touchdown and ran for another.

ATLANTA (AP) -- There was a bit of an upset in top-25 college football last night as 23rd-ranked Miami of Florida was beaten by Georgia Tech, 41-23. The Yellow Jackets controlled the ground game with 472 yards rushing. The result really mixes up the ACC standings as teams vie for the championship game.

NEW YORK (AP) -- There was an upset in top-25 college basketball last night as fourth-ranked UCLA was beaten by Michigan in the semifinals of the 2K Classic in New York City. The 55-52 win gave the Wolverines their first victory over a top-five team since 1997.

PHOENIX (AP) -- The top two clubs in the NBA's Pacific Division met last night and L.A.'s Lakers came out on top in Phoenix, 105-92. Kobe Bryant led the way for the Lakers with 24 points. L.A. has won nine of its ten games this season.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Round two of the LPGA's ADT Championship in West Palm Beach, Florida, is on tap today. The leader after the opening round was Katherine Hull, by one stroke. Hull shot a first-round 4-under 68.
