Privateers Pick Up Tight Victory At Texas State

SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Charles Carmouche hit two free throws with 18 seconds left Monday night as New Orleans defeated Texas State 85-81.

Brandon Bush made a layup with 35 seconds left to pull Texas State (3-6) to within one at 82-81. But New Orleans hit three free throws the rest of the way for the final margin.

Kyndall Dykes and T.J. Worley each scored 19 points for New Orleans (4-5). Darrian McKinstry added 18 points, 15 of those on 3-pointers.

Ty Gough led Texas State with 16 points. John Rybak and Bush each had 15 points.

New Orleans led 34-33 at the half. The game was tied 18 times.
