Kentucky LB Johnson Considering Entering NFL Draft

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky linebacker Micah Johnson is mulling his options and will announce whether he'll return for his senior year or enter the NFL Draft on Friday.

Johnson had 93 tackles, including a team-high 13 tackles-for-loss and 2.5 sacks to help the Wildcats to a 7-6 season and their third consecutive bowl victory. He missed two games with injuries but was one of three Wildcats named to the All-SEC First Team, joining cornerback Trevard Lindley and punter Tim Masthay.

Johnson was named Kentucky's Mr. Football following his senior year at Fort Campbell High in 2005. He has blossomed under defensive coordinator Steve Brown and helped the Wildcats become one of the better defenses in the SEC. Kentucky finished 40th in the nation in total defense this season, up from 118th in the country in 2006.
