MOBILE, Ala. -- Shane Edwards scored a career-high 23 points and hit the game-winning basket with 14.5 seconds left to lift Arkansas-Little Rock to a 61-59 win over South Alabama on Thursday night.

The Trojans (14-5, 7-1 Sun Belt Conference) extended their winning streak to five games while the Jaguars (11-8, 4-4) lost their fourth straight conference game at home.

Arkansas-Little Rock led 34-25 at the break, but the second half featured eight lead changes and three ties. South Alabama tied the game at 59 with 40 seconds left on a C.J. Garner layup.

After Edwards gave the Trojans the lead, the Jaguars got the ball to Domonic Tilford, the Sun Belt's leading scorer, but his off-balance 3-pointer missed.

Matt Mouzy added 12 points for Arkansas-Little Rock.

Tilford led South Alabama with 15 points. DeAndre Coleman added 12 points and 13 rebounds.
