Privateers Extend Owls' Woes, Win 75-68

NEW ORLEANS -- Kyndall Dykes scored 23 points to lead New Orleans in a 75-68 win over Florida Atlantic on Thursday night.

T.J. Worley added 19 points for the Privateers (9-13, 5-7 Sun Belt Conference), who outrebounded the Owls (5-19, 1-11) 33-30 en route to victory. Jahmal Burroughs had 10 points.

Brett Royster led four Owls players in double-figure scoring with a career-high 17, and Paul Graham III also had 17. Shavar Richardson scored 12, Chris Watson finished with 10 and Alex Watson dished out a career-best 11 assists.

The Privateers led by just three points at halftime, and exploded for a 17-6 run to put the game out of reach midway through the second half. Worley scored 15 of his 19 points in the second frame, hitting a 3-pointer that gave New Orleans a 54-42 lead with 9 minutes left. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion.
