Let the frenzy begin.

Bowling Green junior forward Chane Behanan has withdrawn his commitment to play basketball at the University of Cincinnati, instead choosing to explore other recruiting options.

Purples coach D.G. Sherrill told WBKO on Monday that Behanan still considers the Bearcats his leader, but felt he committed to them too early in his high school career and wanted to see what other options he might have. Behanan committed to Cincinnati in August 2008.

Behanan's the 86th-ranked player in the class of 2011 according to Rivals.com and that site reports he holds scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Ohio State, West Virginia and Xavier. He was also in attendance at WKU's elite camp this past weekend.
